NRMC Recognized for Commitment to Patient Care Improvements
The American Hospital Association and the Hospital Engagement Network recognized and celebrated the preliminary successes of 233 hospitals nationwide who have met the national reduction goals set out through the Partnership for Patients. Natchitoches Regional Medical Center was one of these hospitals who demonstrated their commitment to continual improvement of patient care.
NRMC achieved 100% of their applicable goals of national and state aligned measures. “I am proud of the actions of the NRMC Associates in achieving the patient improvement goals. Through their dedication and focus they are improving patient safety and care,” explained Kirk Soileau, Chief Executive Officer.
The Partnership for Patients has set The 40/20 Goal which focuses on keeping patients from getting injured or sicker with a goal of reducing preventable hospital acquired conditions by 40%. The Partnership for Patients also focuses on helping patients heal without complications with a goal of reducing hospital readmissions by 20%.
This list of hospitals was based on the returned LOP scores that were submitted to CMS for the December 1, 2014 monthly report.
