NRMC Benefits Summary
NRMC employs approximately 750 people who are inspiring excellence everyday! In addition to competitive salaries and wages, NRMC offers many benefits for benefit eligible associates including:
The Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Associate health insurance plan is self-insured managed by a third-party administrator. The hospital pays a portion of the premium. This benefit is voluntary, but Associates must enroll within 60 days of their employment to ensure coverage for the Associate and dependents.
Flexible Benefit Plan
At the beginning of the plan year, an Associate, through payroll deduction, may set aside a certain amount of money on a tax deferred basis to cover other medical expenses such as: dental and vision expenses, insurance deductibles and copays, dependent care, or other supplemental insurance products. The Associate may then be reimbursed for these out-of-pocket expenses by using debit benefits card.
NRMC offers a variety of additional insurance products at group rates to augment the Associate Benefit Package. Products include dental and vision insurance, cancer policies, and life insurance. Premiums are paid through payroll deduction and may qualify to be tax deferred (with the exception of life insurance and disability plans). Associates may enroll in any of these products during open enrollment and initial eligibility.
The retirement system for NRMC Associates is a money accumulation (defined contribution) pension plan (457b) for benefit eligible Associates. To participate and receive the NRMC 1% contribution, 4% must be contributed to the plan by the Associate through payroll deduction. Under the Voluntary Deferral portion of this plan, Associates may contribute additional amounts up to the maximum allowed annual contribution as established by the IRS. All Associate contributions are pre-tax.
Associates who elect the health insurance benefit will receive a card with their health insurance and prescription card ID numbers. The co-payment required at the NRMC pharmacy is as follows: Generic $0, Preferred $15, Non-Preferred $50, Specialty $100. Co-payment required at other member pharmacies: Generic $25, Preferred $40, Non-Preferred $75, Specialty $500. There is also a deductible of $200 per person/$600 per family unit for the use of other member pharmacies.
