Pulmonary Services
At NRMC, Pulmonary Services include cardiopulmonary care, sleep studies, and inpatient and outpatient care for the diagnosis, treatment and management of lung disease and illnesses.
The three bed sleep lab helps doctors better understand a patient’s sleep patterns and diagnose sleep problems such as apnea, insomnia, and other conditions.
Pulmonary Function tests are done for both inpatients and outpatients to study lung functioning including bronchial problems. Plethysmography is a test that is used to determine the amount of air an individual can hold in his or lungs.
Nuclear Medicine in conjunction with the cardiology services provides diagnostic stress tests for patients who may be experiencing blockages or other heart-related concerns.
The Cardiopulmonary Department’s respiratory therapists also provide one-on-one patient education on conditions such as COPD and asthma for hospital patients with lung disorders or disease.
