NRMC Receives 4 Stars
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released its Star Ratings for hospitals, and NRMC has received 4 out of 5 stars. CMS uses the Star Rating system to provide quality measure information to the public as a means for consumers to compare the performance of a particular hospital with other hospitals in the region, state, or nation. The purpose of the rating system is to compare hospitals on a consistent set of measures.
“At NRMC, we set high standards for the care we provide our community. As a team, we strive to consistently improve, because we want the best for our patients. Receiving 4 stars reflects our commitment to patient care and is an affirmation of the work we are doing,” explained Sarah LaCour, Chief Nursing Officer.
“Every Associate is trained to serve as a patient advocate to help ensure an excellent patient experience,” explained Kirk Soileau, Chief Executive Officer. “We look at virtually every detail of the patient experience from the time patients enter our hospital as an inpatient to the moment they are discharged. We want the best possible outcome for each patient, and if we see something we can improve, we do. I am proud of our team for the work they are doing. Congratulations on this 4-Star Rating.”
