Steel Magnolia Run Postponed
Thank you to the amazing supporters of the NRMC Breast Health initiative for their sponsorships and sign-ups to participate in the Steel Magnolia Run. We regret to inform the community that we have decided to postpone the Run, which was scheduled for Saturday, March 14th. With the Southland Conference decision to cancel all athletic events through March 30th, we want to be in solidarity with our partner, Northwestern State University. We will be exploring future race date options with NSU, the City and the Parish, and it is our hope to find an alternative date if possible.
Remember—all participants, sponsors, and volunteers have played an instrumental role in supporting 3D mammography services at NRMC’s new Breast Center. This technology helps doctors find breast cancer at its earliest stages, and early detection saves lives.
For participants who would like to pick up their Steel Magnolia Run t-shirt and packet, stop by the NRMC Legacy Classroom at the hospital between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13th. Additional packet pick-ups will be offered in the near future, so please check NRMC’s Facebook page for additional information next week.
