Sign Up Now for the 2nd Annual Steel Magnolia Run
Lace up your running shoes. It’s time for the greatest 5K in the region, the Steel Magnolia Run on Saturday, March 14th at Northwestern State University, Collins Pavilion Parking Lot, in Natchitoches. Registration is at 6:45 AM. The Run begins at 8:00 AM, and the festivities last until 12 noon.
Test yourself on our 5K course as runner or walker, or stroll for a 1-mile fun run/walk. Or if you are as strong as steel, enlist for the FORGE Challenge Course – a 4-mile course of endurance challenges. Virtual Runner is an option for those who would like to donate and receive a race shirt but do not wish to walk or run. To register online, visit www.steelmagnoliarun.com

Research shows that 1 in every 8 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives, but with early detection and treatment female breast cancer deaths have decreased in recent years according to the National Cancer Institute. NRMC Foundation’s generous sponsors and participants in the Steel Magnolia Run have helped fund NRMC’s new Breast Center and ongoing efforts to increase awareness about the importance of early detection and treatment. With the latest in 3D digital mammography, the Center provides easy access to screening for breast cancer and other breast health concerns.
