Natchitoches Regional Medical Center has been recognized with a national award for continued excellence in wound healing, the Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence award, and NRMC is in the top 7% nationally. The Center was awarded this prestigious honor by Healogics, the nation’s leading and largest wound care management company. The award is named for Dr. Warriner, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.

NRMC will host free diabetes education program beginning May 1.
Classes are once per week for 6 weeks. Each 2-hour class is 2 hour is held in the Legacy Room at NRMC from 10:00 AM – Noon. The full schedule of dates are May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and June 5. Graduation will be held June 12th.
This program is open to the public and all diabetics and their caregivers are invited to attend. To register for the free program, call 1.855.376.9382.

Welcoming Tom Matuschka
Natchitoches Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Tom Matuschka as Vice President of Business Development and Philanthropy. He will serve as the Executive Director of the NRMC Foundation and oversee volunteer programs, and community development initiatives. With respect to business development, he will oversee service line planning, marketing, public relations, and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining the NRMC team, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Asian Hope. Based in Denver, Colorado, the organization assisted children and families in Cambodia. For six years, Tom and his family lived in Cambodia where he played an instrumental day-to-day leadership role. His career also includes 7 years as the Director of Harvest Farm, a Denver Rescue Mission.
Tom holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University. He is also a graduate of the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches.
A Louisiana native, Tom and his family recently relocated and now reside in Natchitoches.

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that the hospital has signed a three-year partnership agreement with NES Health to provide Emergency Medicine Staffing and Management Services for the hospital’s Emergency Department.
