Interventional Pain Medicine Offers More Than Traditional Pain Therapies
Since 2016, NRMCs Pain Institute has focused on providing immediate and long-term care for patients with chronic pain. Rather than relying on pharmaceuticals, the Pain Institute has established interventional techniques to help patients address their pain. These techniques include trigger point injections, epidural injections, peripheral nerve blocks, facet joint nerve blocks, and more.
“Our team cares deeply about each patient and understands the challenges they face. With interventional pain medicine, we can manage chronic pain effectively,” explains Medical Director Dr. Rand Metoyer, who is board certified in Anesthesia and Interventional Pain Management. “Our goal is to help people get back to living life as fully as possible given their health issues.”
“Because so many people in our community face chronic pain, this service is touching many lives. While not everyone will live entirely pain free, being able to reduce pain and discomfort is a blessing. I congratulate this team for the way they are using their skill and expertise to improve lives in our community,” noted Kirk Soileau, Chief Executive Officer of NRMC.
Services are offered on an outpatient basis at the Pain Institute which is located on the first floor of the hospital. For more information, please call 318.214.4153.
