Steel Magnolia Run – March 14, 2020
A Steel Magnolia is a woman who exemplifies both traditional femininity as well as uncommon fortitude. Each of us knows an amazing woman who has come face to face with cancer with the dignity of a steel magnolia.
Research shows that 1 in every 8 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life. Breast cancer has the highest incident rate in Louisiana with the second highest death rate of all cancers.
Diagnosis is critically important. And Natchitoches Regional Medical Center is taking action by launching a brand new Breast Health Center with the latest in 3D digital mammography. The design of the Breast Health Center focuses on comfort fit for a magnolia.
To that end, we are excited to announce the inaugural Steel Magnolia Run on March 14, 2020.
Test yourself on our 5K course or stroll with us for a 1 mile fun run/walk. Or if you are as strong as steel, enlist for the FORGE Challenge Course – a 4 mile course of endurance challenges and other obstacles.
Virtual Runner is an option for those who would like to donate and receive a race shirt but do not wish to walk/run.
