NRMC Sleep Center – New CPAP Support Group
The NRMC Sleep Center is pleased to announce a new support group for people who utilize continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy for sleep apnea. The group will help focus on PAP therapy, usage, compliance and other topics. The group is open to anyone wanting to learn more about sleep apnea therapies, including current CPAP patients and their families.
The group will meet monthly. The next meeting is planned for Saturday, October 16th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Listach Conference Center at NRMC on the first floor.
This month, the group will discuss mask fitting and leakage, pressure setting, complications with non-compliance, and advantages of PAP usage. Nicole Sanders, RPSGT, Scoring Technologist at the Sleep Center, will present on “Auto Pap Versus CPAP Versus BiPAP.”
Also attending the support group will be Dr. Warren Botnick, Medical Director of the NRMC Sleep Center; David Cardenas, RPSGT, Sleep Clinical Manager of the Sleep Center; and Lori Nugent with Lincare DME.
