Making Good Health Happen

  • Cafeteria Services
The hospital cafeteria is open as a convenience to visitors and families of our patients. The menu varies daily, and every effort is made to provide great tasting meals at a reasonable price.

    Cafeteria Services

Breakfast: Sunday through Saturday 6:15 to 10:30 a.m.
    Lunch: Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Tobacco-Smoke Free Campus
In support of our mission, effective January 1, 2016, NRMC is a tobacco and smoke free organization. This includes all medical center buildings, streets, parking areas or 50 yards from any exterior entrance. Associates, patients, affiliated personnel and visitors are strictly prohibited from smoking on any campus property. See our Tobacco Smoke Free Policy.

  • Chapel
The Dr. Charles E. Cook Memorial Chapel is located on the second floor between Day Surgery and ICU. The Chapel provides a quiet place for reflection and prayer, and the door is always open.

  • Clergy
Visits by the clergy are not restricted to visiting hours. Upon request, the nurse can contact the clergy of your choice. Also, if you give your church denomination when you register, your clergy will call to offer pastoral services.

  • Dietary
Your diet, like your medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests, is prescribed by your physician. Regular, modified, and special diets are served with your health and welfare in mind according to your doctor’s orders. Check with the nursing staff before bringing any food or drinks into your room. Our dietary staff is here to help you with your nutritional needs, and your comments and suggestions are welcomed.

  • Gift Shop
The hospital has a fabulous gift shop that is operated by the NRMC Auxiliary. The shop offers many items including gifts, cards, toiletries, jewelry, home goods, and more. Visit anytime between 8 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Identification Badges
All hospital employees and volunteers are required to wear picture identification badges. This helps ensure easy identification.

  • Pricing Transparency
Pricing transparency is important to us.  The link below is to a full listing of charges and services meant to meet a government requirement, and does not represent the totality of our efforts around price transparency and affordability, and cannot replace price estimations specific to each patient’s course of care.  We encourage our patients to have one on one conversations with a patient account representative and call 318-214-4802 with questions about their individual costs for their medical needs.
